The amount of shopping that you can do in Venice, Italy can seem almost overwhelming thanks to the large number of stores around the city. However, this large variety means that there is truly something for everyone. Whether you want to find some small knick knacks or souvenirs to remember your trip by, or you want to go on a shopping spree in the best stores, you'll have the opportunity to do so in Venice.

For the high end boutiques and brand name clothes, you'll want to walk along Calle Larga XXII Marzo, which has a variety of stores on the more expensive side. You'll find all the famous brand name Italian stores here, such as Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada, and Valentino.

During the Venice Carnival season, you'll see a lot of places that selling traditional Venetian items, such as the masks or costumes. Venice is also well known for their Venetian glass, which is made in the district of Murano. Stop by this section of Venice to get something to take home with you made of their famous glass. You can find items that are elegant like bowls or sculptures, and you can also find smaller items like Christmas tree ornaments and knick knacks. A small piece of sculpted Venetian glass can make a unique souvenir for yourself or for a friend or family member.
